I upgraded from a good 9600GT after doing enough research to warrant it. Overall Review: I must be turning into an enthusiast.slowly but surely. After the upgrade they of course ran flawlessly but the sound is perfect. I was beginning to think it was my sound card. Running games like Wolverine, Prototype and COD5, not only would I have major stuttering in several areas but the sound of the voices could not be heard. Overall Review: I benchmarked using Crysis. Not an issue once it starts but 7-10 seconds of is this thing going to start?" My 8800GT's kicked in immediately while this one seems to take its time. I had a 9800PRO lose a fan in the middle of the night and found it the next morning fried. I upped the fan to 50% just because it is quiet and I could not tell a difference in noise.Ĭons: Not really a con but just a scare, the fan on the card does not kick in for 7-10 seconds once powered on. Other say it is hot but it idles at 42ish and gets into the 60's. This card was a big step up from my dual 8800GT cards.
